As humans we are connived by logic but only moved by emotion. All great leaders and facilitators have one thing in common- they move people by tugging on the heartstrings, they not only win the game of logic, they win the hearts and minds of their constituents by doing the following:

1. Giving personalizing recognition to personal effort

2.Celebrating small wins

3.Giving personalised feedback

4.Advocating a culture of appreciation

5.Being grateful to the people around them

How are you, as a leader, advocating this?

Think about a time you felt recognised and appreciated. What did others do to make you feel that way? What are some emotions you can use to describe that feeling? Share in the comments box below.
